Clinical Significance
The results of this acute hepatitis panel may not be useful in the evaluation of the recovery phase of acute HBV infection, the identification of past HBV infection or the evaluation of vaccine associated HBV immunity.  If any of these HBV related circumstances are a clinical consideration, a hepatitis B core antibody (which includes both IgG and IgM hepatitis B core antibody) and a hepatitis B surface antibody could be considered.
IgM anti-HAV not detected. Does not exclude the possibility of exposure to or infection with HAV. Levels of IgM anti-HAV may be below the cut-off in early infection.

Performing Laboratory
GBMC Immunology
