Clinical Significance
Includes ABO, Rh type and an antibody screen. Rho (D) immune globulin (human) is a sterile solution containing 300 ug of IgG anti-Rho (D) for use in preventing the immunization in Rh negative female exposed to Rh positive red cells. It is indicated for Rh negative females at 26-28 weeks gestation, following amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling (CVS), percutaneous umbilical blood sampling, following threatened abortion with continuation of pregnancy, delayed delivery, and other uses (ie. abdominal trauma)
