Instructions
Label specimen with patient's full name (first and last), medical record number, name of requesting physician, and date and source of specimen.1. Following direct vision brushing, cut off the disposable spiral brush and immediately place the specimen into the container of CytoRich Red collection fluid. NOTE: Direct smearing of brushings onto glass slides is NOT recommended due to problems with air-drying and crush artifact that compromise cytologic interpretation. 2. Label specimen appropriately with patient's full name, medical record number, and specimen source.
