Minimum Volume

Other Acceptable Specimens
Urine preserved with 30 mL 6N HCl or 10 g Boric Acid submitted in a plastic, leak-proof container

Preserve 24-hour urine with 25 mL 50% Acetic Acid (preferred) or with 30 mL 6N HCl or 10 g Boric Acid (acceptable) during collection.
Please specify on the request form and on the urine container the patient's age and sex and the total 24-hour urine volume.
