Grey Top Na Flouride plasma (preferred) or serum (SST). Centrifuge within 2 hours of collection
Refrigerate within 4 hours.

No glucose dose is needed. no patient prep.

Alternate Specimen: serum (SST).

Stable refrigerated for 3 days

Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)

Insufficient quantity; hemolysis; plasma left on cells overnight; failure to follow specimen stability requirements
