Appearance; clarity; color; bilirubin; blood; glucose; ketones; leukocyte esterase; nitrites; pH; protein; specific gravity; urobilinogen. Confirmation of the semiquantitative test glucose will be performed for reducing substances when the age of the patient is less than 2 years old.


Instructions
Collect Clean-catch, midstream urine collection. In infants and young children, urine specimens can be obtained by urine bag, bladder catheterization, or bladder aspiration.


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Insufficient quantity; specimen at room temperature >1 hour; fecal contamination

Dipstick, automated with microscopy and culture if indicated
