Cord Blood sample collected in EDTA Pink Top or Lavender Top  tube


Minimum Volume
1 mL


Instructions
7 mL (3 mL min.) whole blood from umbilical cord in pink top (EDTA) tube (preferred) or in lavender (EDTA) tube and red top no-additive clot tube.


Specimen Stability
 Room temperature 20-25 C for 24 hours, up to 72 hours refrigerated.


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Improperly labeled specimen; container damaged and leaking; insufficient quantity; frozen specimens; gel separator tubes.
