Clinical Significance
Acetaminophen (paracetamol) is a common drug which is used as an analgesic and antipyretic agent. Excessive doses can have toxic effects with the most common being hepatotoxicity. The drug may also cause acute tubular necrosis, pancreatitis, and myocardial necrosis.
