BD 16 X 100mm X 8ml vacutainers conical plastic yellow top UA tube.

Instructions

If testing cannot be performed within 2 hours of collection, refrigerate sample

Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)

Voided urine, Contaminated sample,or a sample that has been at room temperature more than 2 hours.

Clinical Significance

Reflex to Microscopic Urinalysis will occur if there is a presence of blood, protein, nitrite, leukocyte esterase, or if there is color interference, or a clarity other than clear.

Reflex to Urine Culture will occur if either Leukocyte Esterase or Nitrite are positive, or if WBC's are >10/hpf.
