HCG, PLASMA OR SERUM QUANTITATIVE

Message
Reference cutoffs are for non-pregnant pre-menopausal females. Consider not testing hCG on menopausal patients.

The use of this assay to monitor or to diagnose patients with cancer or any condition unrelated to pregnancy has not been cleared or approved by the FDA or the manufacturer of the assay.

Chorionic and other hCG-secreting tumors typically produce circulating hCG quantities in the tens and hundreds of thousands. Correlation with clinical factors is necessary.
