6 Sodium Citrate Blue Top, 1 EDTA Lavender Top


Minimum Volume
Blue Top Must be Completely Filled


Instructions
Invert tube immediately after collection. Blue tops remain whole blood, they do NOT get spun. A 21G needle must be used.

Specimen Stability
All blue top, coag specimens are discarded after 2 days.


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Clotted, hemolyzed, or quality not sufficient specimens


Setup Schedule
Day Shift Only - must be received into lab by 1000 otherwise it will be completed the next day.
