Invert tube immediately after collection. ONLY ordered by lab personnel.

Transport Temperature
If the plasma cannot be run immediately, then place the specimen on ice and run within 4-6 hours.
 


Specimen Stability
Plasma can be stored for up to 48 hours, or 6 months frozen


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Clotted, hemolyzed, or quality not sufficient specimens
