Minimum Volume 3mL per bottle
Optimal Volume 8 - 10 mL per bottle


Instructions
1. A standard blood Culture order consists of 2 sets. Collect 2 bottles (Aerobic and Anaerobic) per set of culture. Aseptically fill the Blue bottle first then the Purple bottle. 2. Do not use Pediatric bottles for adult patients. 3. Blood Cultures must be drawn by two different venipuncture and two different sites, 15 minutes apart. It should NOT be drawn from catheters or ports and IV lines. 8-10 Ml each
