NOTE: The use of the above mentioned sample types were developed and its performance characteristics determined by the BUMCP Microbiology Laboratory. These sample types have not been cleared or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The FDA has determined that such clearance or approval is not necessary since the laboratory is approved under CLIA for high complexity testing.
