Syphilis antibodies with reflex

There are 3 possible orders relating to syphilis diagnosis and testing available:
  • Syphilis Abs/w Reflex - Use to screen patients and for initial diagnosis if no known history. Will reflex to RPR and TP-PA if REACTIVE.
  • RPR (Rx Monitor) à For patients WITH A  KNOWN HISTORY OF SYPHILIS to monitor therapy or assess for infection status.
  • VDRL (CSF) à For patients with suspected neurosyphilis.
