Instructions
Tubes generally supplied in spinal fluid kits are not designed for specimen transport. To avoid leakage, transfer fluid aseptically into a sterile plastic concical tube. Freeze specimen immediately.
Place in specimen bag with "Frozen Specimen" label applied and transport frozen. If specimen is not clear or contains blood, centrifuge and separate supernatant fluid before freezing.
