HCV PCR-RNA Panel, HCV RNA Quant, HCV Viral Load, Hep C RNA Quant, Hep C Viral Load, Hepatitis C RNA Quant, Hepatitis C Viral Load

Includes
HCV RNA and its corresponding Log10 value.

Preferred Specimen
One Gold Serum Separator Tube

Minimum Volume
1mL

Instructions
Centrifuge, aliquot and ship frozen (-20°C)

Transport Temperature
Frozen (-20°C)

Specimen Stability
2-8°C up to 24 hrs

Methodology
Real-time PCR - Roche COBAS AmpliPrep-Taqman HCV TEST v 2.0 - IVD

Setup Schedule
2-3 runs per week

Report Available
7 Days

Limitations
Linear range <43 IU/mL to 69 million IU/mL.(1.63 log IU/mL to 7.83 log IU/mL). For results falling in the linear range, the report will indicate the exact number of HCV RNA IU/mL and its corresponding log10 value. If HCV RNA is detectable, but the results fall outside the linear range, the report will indicate <43 IU/mL or >69 millionIU/mL.

Reference Range
Titer result Interpretation
Target Not Detected HCV quantity is below the limit of detection for the assay or not present. HCV RT results are reported as "Not Detected".
< 1.20E + 01 IU/mL HCV quantity is above the limit of detection, but the calculated IU/mL is below the lower limit of quantitation (LLOQ) of the assay, 12 IU/mL. HCV RT results are reported as "< 12IU/mL" or "<log101.18".
>= 1.2E + 01 IU/mL and <= 1.00 E + 08 IU/mL

HCV quantity is above the LLOQ and calculated results are within the linear range of quantitation for the assay (=12 IU/mL and = 100 million IU/mL). HCV RT results are reported as"Detected" with viral load results displayed in IU/mL and log10.

Clinical Significance
Linear Range: 12 IU/mL – 100,000,000 IU/mL
