Fluids: sterile container and syringes (without needle) Fluid are always superior to swab specimen.
Swab specimens for anaerobes must be in transport media


Transport Container
Anaerobic Transort media is available in the Microbiology lab.


Transport Temperature
Room temperature: ≤ 2 hours


Specimen Stability
Room temperature: ≤ 24 hours
