Minimum Volume

5 cm of distal tip of catheter.

Instructions

Meticulous sterile technique needed to obtain specimen.
Send 5 cm of distal catheter.
No large pieces of catheter tips
Sterile container.

Transport Temperature

Room temperature: ≤ 2 hours

Specimen Stability

Refrigerate (2-8°C): ≤ 4 hours

Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
