Minimum Volume

Submit a small piece of tissue (no larger than a pea) obtained at the line of demarcation. Do not submit surface necrotic tissue and amputated tissue.

Instructions

Specify body site!
Do NOT submit tissue in culturette or on gauze.
Submit in a sterile container with saline.
No Fixative or Formalin

Transport Temperature

Room temperature: ≤ 2 hours

Specimen Stability

Room temperature: ≤ 24 hours

Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)

Large pieces of bone.
Specimens in Formalin
