Instructions
Collect blood into light-protected red-top evacuated tube. Allow blood to clot refrigerated. Centrifuge refrigerated at (2200-2500 rpm, 800-1000 g) for 8-10 minutes. Transfer serum to polypropylene transport tubes (protect from light) and place them immediately under dry ice or ultra-low freezer (-60° C to -90° C). If immediate storage in -60°C to -90°C is not available, transfer specimen to -20°C immediately after processing and transfer onto dry ice at the earliest possible opportunity. Samples must be light protected (using amber tubes or foil) and shipped frozen on dry ice.
