Instructions
Do not centrifuge CSF. Refrigerate CSF and send refrigerated (cold packs) or freeze CSF specimens -20°C or lower and send frozen samples on dry ice to the laboratory. Blood contamination and hemolysis may interfere with results. Submitting 4th lumbar puncture collection tube minimizes blood contamination.
