Instructions
Send 50mL aliquot of well-mixed 24 hr urine to Mayo. Record total volume on container and test requisition.


Transport Container
24 hour urine container with 25mL 50% acetic acid added prior to start of collection. Use 15 mL of 50% acetic acid for children <5 yrs. old.


Transport Temperature
Refrigerated


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Acetic acid not added prior to start of collection.
