Instructions
Transport all fluid and tissue specimens  to Microbiology ASAP. Include: Site of collection and any drug therapy.

Anaerobic transport system, syringe, sterile screw top container

Room Temperature


Specimen Stability


Sterile CoPan e-swab:
Room Temperature: 48 hours
Refrigerated: 48 hours




Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Rejectable Specimens: Urines, Stool, Cervical, Urethra, Ear, GI Tract, Respiratory, and BAL. This test is not to be used for blood cultures.
