Instructions
Valproic Acid samples should be monitored at a consistent time of day.  Concentrations are affected by circadian rhythm.

Inpatient turn around time: Stat 30 minutes, routine three hours.  Outpatient testing received by noon will be reported by 4:30 p.m. Specimens received after noon will be reported by the next morning.
