Clinical Significance
TPO can be used as an aid in the diagnosis of thyroid autoimmune disorder, in differnetiating thyroid auotimmune disorders from nonautoimmune goiter or hypothyroidism, and as a diagnostic tool in treatment of patients who have subclinical hypothyroidism.
