Appearence, Color, Glucose, Bilirubin, Urobilinogen, Ketones, Specific Gravity, pH, Protein, Blood, Nitrite, and Leukocyte Esterase
 

Microscopic examination will be performed when any of the following are noted:
1. Abnormal appearance or color
2. Greater than a trace of protein
3. Positive for blood, leukocyte esterase, or nitrite



Preferred Specimen
Urine (Y/R Top), Pearl Top and Gray Top


Other Acceptable Specimens
Urine, Sterile Collect, Random 


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Urine specimen is outside its collection container (inside transport bag and not in urine cup)
