Clinical Significance
Measles (Rubeola) is a highly contagious viral illness caused by infection with a paramyxovirus for which there is an effective vaccine. The testing of serum for Rubeola IgG allows for the determination of the immune status of previously vaccinated individuals as well as the detection of seroconversion in recently vaccinated individuals.
