  Perimenstrual (±8 days): 0-12.0 mIU/mL
  Postmenopausal: 11.3- 39.8 mIU/mL


Clinical Significance
Useful for distinguishing primary gonadal failure from secondary causes of gonadal failure; menstrual disturbances; and amenorrhea. It is also useful in defining menstrual cycle phases in infertility evaluation of females and testicular dysfunction in males.
