Instructions


A single CDT order and sample is sufficient for most patients.
Retest samples are acceptable on:
 




  • After seven (7) days following a negative result.
     


  • After fourteen (14) days following a positive result
     


  • Infectious Disease or Pathologist approval for exception to the above.



The Laboratory will cancel an order that does not meet these requirements.

Room Temp for 24 hrs, and 5 days refrigerated.


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Formed feces or specimens sent in preservative

CDT PCR results are available within 2 hours of receipt
