See report for normal ranges. Critical Value: INR >6.0 sec (<1.4 if anticoag hx provided)


Clinical Significance
The PT/INR assay is intended to screen for abnormalities of the coagulation proteins involved in the extrinsic and common pathways. It is commonly used to monitor patients on oral anticoagulant (Coumadin) therapy.
