Requires Semen Analysis Requisition- Contact Laboratory Client Services. Test Availability: Not available on weekends or holidays.
· Fertility testing: Monday – Friday only between 8 am and 11 am
· Vasovasostomy: Monday – Friday only between 8 am and 11 am
Post- Vas: Monday – Friday only between 8 am and 4:30 pm

Preferred Specimen
Semen, 0.5 mL minimum


Instructions
Transport to Laboratory immediately. Try to keep collection container close to body to maintain sample body temp.

Transport Temperature
The specimen is to be submitted directly to the Main Laboratory within 1/2 hour of collection


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Specimen > 30 minutes of collection, QNS, Inappropriate container
