Urine: Must be refrigerated and transferred into GEN-PROBE specimen transport within 24 hours. Vaginal/Endocerv/urethral Swabs: Collected directly into Gen-Probe Transport and stored at room temperature. Urine and genitalspecimens in transport are stable 30 days at room temp. Thin-Prep PAP vial: Stabile 14 days at room temp.

Gen-Probe APTIMA COMBO2 Assay is a nucleic acid amplification test for the detection of Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae.
