Clinical Significance
The determination of CKMB mass in serum is an improtant element in the diagnosis of myocardial ischemia, e.g. in acute myocardial infarction, myocarditis, etc. CKMB may also appear in other clinical conditions, e.g. in rhabodomyolysis and stroke.
