4 mL whole blood in plain red top. Do not aliquot serum from cells unless specimen can not reach lab same day as collection.


Instructions
For postpartum workups, the maternal sample needs to be collected as soon as possible after delivery of Rh positive baby or fetal demise and administered within 72 hours of delivery. Antenatal workups should be drawn and Rhig adminstered at 26-28 weeks gestation.
